About The Position

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience estimating with a strong emphasis in concrete.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Experience in Conceptual, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction document budgets and estimates.
• Estimating software knowledge preferred, including HCSS Heavy Bid.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and complete job estimates for concrete projects.
• Identify project labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, and specifications.
• Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to understand project scope.
• Review and take-off blueprints for accurate estimation.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors and gather subcontractor pricing.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure full scope of work is considered.
• Calculate costs of subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials.
• Collaborate with clients to help achieve project cost budgets through consideration of plan details and alternative materials.
