About The Position
The Concrete Cutting Trainee position at Penhall International is designed for individuals looking to start a career in the concrete services industry. This role involves supporting the Division Area Manager in overseeing shop and field operations, as well as dispatching services to enhance efficiency within the division. The trainee will be actively involved in various concrete cutting tasks, including cutting, sawing, lifting, and core drilling concrete. This hands-on position requires a commitment to maintaining the high standards of Penhall Company equipment, which includes vehicles, diamond blades, flat saws, core drills, wall saws, jackhammers, and other small tools. The trainee will also be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is inspected, maintained, secure, and clean, which is crucial for operational efficiency and safety. As a Concrete Cutting Trainee, you will work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders, including the Division Manager, Area General Manager, and various shop and field staff. You will also interact with external parties such as industry associations and customers, making effective communication and teamwork essential components of the role. The position is physically demanding and requires a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to work in challenging conditions, including extreme weather.
