As a Concrete Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction of various concrete structures, including building and parking structures. Your expertise in forming systems and construction carpentry will be essential as you work on projects that include schools, hospitals, and city structures along the Wasatch Front. Safety is a top priority in our operations, and your dedication to the art of construction will contribute to the successful completion of these projects. In this position, you will be responsible for performing specific duties related to the construction of walls, footings, and slabs. This includes installing footing construction, securing stakes to grids, nailing scabs to footing forms, and assisting carpenters in raising forms to the required elevation. You will also be tasked with consolidating concrete in forms and floating concrete to ensure a smooth finish. Your experience with building, erecting, and aligning forms according to blueprints and specifications will be vital to the success of the projects you work on. Additionally, you will be required to install and remove shores, reshores, and scaffolding as needed. General labor work may also be part of your responsibilities at various times, and you should be capable of stripping formwork as required. This is a full-time, temporary position with weekend work required, and you will be expected to work the first shift from Monday through Friday, starting at 6:30 AM and ending at 3:30 PM.
