About The Position

The Concierge at Harmony at Martinsburg serves as the first point of contact for visitors and residents, performing essential administrative support duties. This role is crucial for maintaining a welcoming environment and ensuring the security and smooth operation of the facility. The Concierge is responsible for greeting visitors, managing phone calls, and overseeing the front desk area while also assisting with resident services and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in administrative functions is necessary.
  • Must be organized and able to work well with others as part of a team.
  • Polite and considerate communication with residents, visitors, co-workers, and management is essential.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to function effectively in a busy environment and multi-task is required.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all visitors to the community and provide assistance as needed.
  • Answer the telephone and transfer calls to the appropriate party, taking accurate messages when necessary.
  • Monitor walkie-talkie, door security system, and fire panel as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area.
  • Sell meal tickets and manage payments through payroll deduction or personal checks.
  • Ensure the security of the building by monitoring resident sign-in and sign-out logs and visitor registration logs.
  • Assist with coordinating the van schedule for residents.
  • Perform supportive office functions for all departments, including filing, typing, and making copies.
  • Attend in-services and staff meetings as required.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.
