About The Position

Embody the mission, values and common purpose of the SOXtraordinary Squad who represent the Chicago White Sox. Provide welcoming, comfortable, and top-level customer service to White Sox suites & premium areas guests with a smile.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Superb customer service skills
  • Must be able to work outdoors conditions
  • Comfortable in small/confined spaces
  • Available for at least 80% of the events at Guaranteed Rate Field.
  • Team Member must be able to withstand moving elevator
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Demonstrate skills in a warm, open, welcoming environment and thank guests as they enter and leave.
  • Ability to stand for 3 quarters (¾) of shift. Team members are expected to fully perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and professional directions for all guests entering and exiting the elevator
  • Ensure safety regulations while operating elevator and passenger number limits
  • Assist guests with getting on and off elevator
  • Be an expert on all service and unique amenities at the ballpark to provide each fan with unique experience
  • Ability to respond with adaptive service for guests with disabilities.
  • Ability to work as a team player and independently
  • Check guest tickets to ensure they are accessing the correct floor
  • Ensure elevators are in sound working conditions and available for guests
  • Ability to work with minimum direction majority of the time
  • Notify designated supervisor of incidents to be recorded on incident report
  • Knowledgeable in facility services and physical layout
  • Assist guest with problems or complaints if applicable
  • Perform other duties assigned
