About The Position

The United Center is the largest arena in the United States and is located near the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. The United Center hosts concerts, other events, and is home to the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League and the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association.
Overview:As a Union Stand Worker, you will assist with food and beverage service in a concession stand during events. This role includes customer service, food prep, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and efficient work area.

Requirements

• 0–3 months of related experience or training preferred.
• Basic math, reading, and communication skills required.
• Ability to work with in-house systems and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests quickly and courteously with food and beverage items.
• Prepare, maintain, and stock hot and cold food items during events.
• Operate a register and handle transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of the stand, counters, and condiment areas.
• Follow food safety practices including FIFO, labeling, and temperature control.
• Check IDs for alcohol service and prevent over-serving.
• Assist with setup before events and cleanup afterward.
