Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with guests.
  • Demonstrated money-handling and math skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate computerized cash register.
  • Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
  • Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 6-months on-the-job training or experience directly related to the accountabilities specified.

Responsibilities

  • Determine guest needs and suggest products to enhance service and meet sales goals.
  • Assist customers in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages, whole bean, pastry and retail purchases.
  • Prepare a variety of food orders and beverage orders according to established recipes and outlet standards.
  • Operate electronic cash register system to accurately and immediately account for payment transactions and transports monies to and from the main credit cage.
  • Ensure outlet is setup, maintained and stocked according to established standards.
  • Use and maintain all assigned areas and equipment in a sanitary, safe and effective manner.
  • Perform all job functions in conjunction with the guidelines described in the Standard Operating Procedures manual to ensure consistent execution of company and department standards.
  • Ensure that all unused food items are stored properly.
  • Ensure that all dishware, utensils and equipment are cleaned and stored properly at the end of the shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Complete shift ending cleaning duties and stocking as assigned.
  • Maintain work area in a safe condition, taking care of spills and other hazards as necessary.
  • Follow established food and safety standards.
