About The Position

The Concession Stand Attendant is responsible for meeting the needs of Members and Guests during their experience at Fiddler’s Elbow. A Concession Stand Attendant will be selling smoothie and beverages at our Aquatic Center, maintaining a clean and organized work area, billing membership accounts and ensuring the smooth opening and closing of the concession stand during business hours. This is an outdoor-based position at the Fiddler’s Pool that is fast-paced and involves constant customer interaction and creativity.

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of our members and guests.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry trays/objects weighing up 30+ pounds through a crowded room
  • Ability to handle many tasks at once
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe and lift to perform job functions
  • Must be a team player; possess the ability to collaborate and work well with others

  • Must be able to work both day and/or night hours, occasional long hours, weekends and holidays

  • Previous concession stand experience is preferred but not a must

Responsibilities

  • Attend pre-function and/or post-function meetings
  • Ensure the Opening, Closing and Side-Work Procedures are completed
  • Provide immediate attention to all Members & Guests
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally to Members, Guests and Colleagues.
  • Follow our technology practices, including use of iPads and the POS system- Club Essentials.
  • Assist in portioning food items into correct serving sizes for efficient and consistent meal service.
  • Assist with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.
  • Demonstrate ability to accurately describe and answer questions regarding menu items, specials, and Create your Own Option(s).
  • Observe safety procedures during execution of assigned duties
  • Operate smoothie-making equipment, such as blenders and juicers, ensuring that they are functioning properly and cleaned regularly.
  • Record each sale on a sales sheet, ensuring that all required details (e.g., item name, quantity, customer information) are documented correctly.
  • Process sales transactions using a POS system, ensuring that all items are charged accurately.
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipe specifications to ensure consistency and proper flavor.
  • Adjust recipes, if necessary, based on availability of ingredients or specific customer requests (e.g., dietary restrictions or preferences).
  • Follow food safety regulations to ensure that food is prepared, stored, and served in a hygienic manner.
  • Restock supplies of food, drinks, and condiments as necessary to ensure availability throughout shifts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the concession stand area, including counters, storage areas, and equipment.
  • Report any supply needs or equipment issues to management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
