About The Position
Position Summary:This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Bedford Concession Attendant is responsible for preparing and handling food, providing basic customer service, maintaining a clean and organized concession stand, and managing cash transactions with care. This role ensures that the concession area is well-stocked, organized, and operating efficiently. The position contributes to a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Essential Functions: Prepare and serve concession food items in accordance with YMCA food handling and safety standards. Provide courteous and professional service to members and guests. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the concession stand, including food prep areas, equipment, and surrounding spaces. Stock, organize, and log inventory, ensuring accurate tracking of item capacity and supplies. Handle cash transactions accurately, maintain the cash drawer, and follow YMCA cash handling procedures. Monitor supplies and notify management of restocking needs. Follow YMCA policies and procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for members and guests. Assist with other reasonable tasks related to the smooth operation of the concession stand as assigned by management. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
