About The Position
Epic Games is seeking a Concept Director to join our dynamic team working on Fortnite. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the concept team to create and iterate on exciting and purposeful characters that captivate our players. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strong creative and visual aesthetics, exceptional design skills, and leadership experience, along with a proven track record of developing compelling characters that resonate with a diverse audience. As a Concept Director, you will work alongside Concept Leads and Art Directors to steer the direction of Fortnite Cosmetics. Your creativity will be paramount as you imagine and communicate your vision to the team, driving the development of new content that players will adore. You will also be responsible for directing and mentoring a worldwide team of Concept artists, ensuring that they are inspired and equipped to produce their best work. In addition to guiding the creative process, you will contribute to and maintain the Fortnite Character Style guide, filtering various sources of analysis and feedback into a cohesive visual direction for new art. Your role will be instrumental in pushing the visual envelope, creating stunning and inspiring characters that elevate the Fortnite experience. Collaboration will be key, as you will work with Product and IP teams on themes and cosmetic sets, and partner with other departments such as Modeling and TechAnim to ensure that concept designs align with the project workflow and production schedules.
