Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon is seeking a candidate to help administer a large and complex Communications Security (COMSEC) program. You will be responsible for managing the distribution of applicable materials, dissemination of guidance, reception of new materials, accountability, destruction of mandated materials, and thorough documentation of actions taken. The candidate will work closely with the customer and other COMSEC officials to ensure the program stays up-to-date and in compliance. Location: Near Springfield, VA

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of COMSEC experience.
  • Experience with the operation, maintenance, accountability, reception, and disposition of COMSEC items.
  • Experience with inventory control functions; documentation (soft and hard copies) and records management experience.
  • Experience in written and verbal communication with senior leadership and customers.
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Military and/or government COMSEC experience.
  • COMSEC experience managing a large program.
  • COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) or Regional COMSEC Officer (RCO) experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Products

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance and integrity of the COMSEC program based on customer requirements.
  • Conduct self-inspections on a regular basis and have experience meeting all requirements for periodic customer-led inspections (i.e., Quarterly, semi-annual, annual inspections).
  • Maintain accountability of all COMSEC items.
  • Verify newly received COMSEC items (i.e., keys, keying material, equipment, etc.) are mission essential.
  • Perform destructions of expired and/or non-compliance items and removal of unnecessary items on the COMSEC program.
  • Maintain thorough documentation based on government regulations, customer guidance, policies, and industry best practices of all actions taken with the COMSEC program.
  • Train other personnel as required.
