About The Position

We seek a Communications Security (ComSec) Analyst who will thrive in a challenging, rewarding, process-oriented environment. You will provide a broad spectrum of support that enables the Joint Staff J6 CIO to provide expertise in support of the Chairman's core responsibilities and in advancing C4/Cyber across all domains to enable a globally integrated Combined/Joint Force. This position is contingent upon position opening and is located in Arlington, VA, at the J6 C4. As a ComSec Analyst, you will coordinate a wide scope of DoD COMSEC-related activities. This includes completing actions for all COMSEC matters, preparing for the Military C4 Executive Board (MC4EB) and Cryptographic Security Panel (CSP), and associated national plans, policies, and guidance. You will provide Risk Level Assessment (RMF) expertise when analyzing foreign and coalition partner COMSEC agreements. Additionally, you will serve as the advocate for Combatant Commands (CCMDs) with appropriate agencies and Services, reviewing and making recommendations to the government on the validation of CCMD and Joint requests to release COMSEC devices, technology, or associated information to foreign nations. Your role will also involve processing and making recommendations to the government on whether to approve or disapprove CCMD's authority to negotiate and conclude formal agreements with foreign nations as part of the international COMSEC release process. You will make validation recommendations to the government related to the National Security Agency's COMSEC Utility Program and provide subject matter expertise to multiple COMSEC working groups and panels promoting secure communications and interoperability requirements for US forces and international partners. Furthermore, you will oversee weapons systems, cryptographic and communication security systems, and compliance requirements, receiving input from the CCMDs, intelligence community, and others, and conducting risk assessments based on the Risk Management Framework.
