About The Position

The Computed Tomography Technologist works under the supervision of the Lead CT Technologist and CT/MRI Manager. This role acts as a positive interface with all customers while contributing to a high performance, high quality work environment. The technologist is responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purposes, performing Computed Tomography procedures and related techniques to produce high quality cross-sectional, 2D and 3D images for interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. Additionally, the technologist performs CT Guided interventional and therapeutic procedures and may perform CT fusion procedures, ensuring efficient operations, workflow, and patient safety through collaboration with the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Knowledge of ionizing radiation safety and administration.
  • Ability to perform CT procedures and related techniques.
  • Strong communication skills for customer interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in CT Guided interventional and therapeutic procedures.
  • Familiarity with CT fusion procedures.
  • Previous experience in a Charge Technologist role.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a positive interface with all customers and in a manner consistent with world class service.
  • Demonstrates the ability to competently perform duties within the scope of practice for a Radiologic Technologist as outlined by Indiana Administrative Code.
  • Adheres to and practices in accordance with the American Society of Radiologic Technologists Clinical, Quality, and Professional Performance Standards for Computed Tomography Technologists.
  • Ensures services are delivered with the highest possible quality, safety and outcomes within a model plan of care consistent with world class care.
  • May assume responsibility as Charge Technologist according to assigned work shift requirements, or as needed/delegated.
  • Rotate regular work schedule to accommodate vacations, illnesses, and weather conditions.
  • Transport patients and assist others with patient transportation relative to patient acuity level.
  • Perform various tasks to assist Department in maintaining cohesive, efficient operation.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
