About The Position

Responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the computer works area. To ensure efficient and cost-effective operation through world-class customer service, processing donated goods, quality control, and maintaining a productive workforce.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of management experience is required.
  • Certification in technology repair (A+ certification or better preferred) and/or equivalent job experience.
  • Ability to communicate, read and write in English.
  • Excellent computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office).
  • Capable of working autonomously.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work well with others in a close office environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in online store operations preferred.
  • Experience in material handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all management duties, including all day-to-day operations, and all associates.
  • Evaluate donated computers to assess the value.
  • Refurbish computer equipment to restore it to like-new working conditions and/or appearance, then transfer it to the stores for resale.
  • Install an operating system on computers and configure it to CW standards.
  • Perform minor upgrades as needed to the machine to be transferred to the stores for resale.
  • Troubleshoot repairs, maintain, install, and perform testing activities on various computer equipment and peripherals.
  • Warranty maintenance on machines bought from CW.
  • Drive associate productivity.
  • Ensure operations are lean and operate at maximum efficiency.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies securely following the established budget and GWH’s policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the stewardship of donations and all other GWH property and supplies.
  • Recruit and train Computer Works associates to build a skilled workforce.
  • Responsible for supervising, evaluating, and developing within the framework of GWH policies, procedures, and the associates’ job description.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and present a friendly, cooperative attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task, make quick decisions, adapt to change, and work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Adheres to all GWH Policies & Procedures, Loss Prevention & Safety Regulations, and GWH Guiding Principles.
  • Must be punctual, have dependable attendance, and maintain an appropriate appearance.
  • Must safely conduct work; maintain good housekeeping standards; have all the aisles and pathways to fire exits clear and free from clutter; and keep work areas neat and clean.
  • Adheres to all GWH policies and procedures.
