About The Position

This is a temporary, part-time position with up to 25 credits assigned. Activities related to college teaching and learning in the Computer Technology Support field, including but not limited to the duties listed below: Instructional planning, teaching, learning, and evaluating students in the classroom. Assessment of student performance. Student recruitment, retention, and advising. Lab/classroom climate maintenance. Maintenance of professional skills and credentials. Maintain and enhance curriculum and assess program outcomes. Participation in department meetings, coordination activities, curriculum development, and college-wide committees.

Requirements

  • Associate degree
  • Five full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in computer technology support.
  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field.
  • The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

  • Proficiency in Client OS and Office 365.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach and explain operating system concepts, along with practical Demonstrated familiarity with and commitment to the mission and constituencies of a comprehensive community and technical college.
  • Dedication to teaching and student learning providing quality education emphasizing college level standards.
