Repair and Maintenance

As a Computer Technician at uBreakiFix by Asurion, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems for customers. This role combines technical expertise in diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues with exceptional customer service skills. You will interact with customers, explain technical concepts, and provide solutions to their problems while maintaining high-quality standards in repairs.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems efficiently.
  • Provide timely solutions to technical issues faced by customers.
  • Explain complex technical concepts in a simple, non-technical manner to customers.
  • Offer recommendations for problem resolution and provide repair and replacement estimates.
  • Ensure that all repairs meet or exceed uBreakiFix by Asurion quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and fixes for future reference.
  • Greet customers warmly and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Answer phone calls professionally and courteously.
  • Exceed customer expectations by delivering superior service through the 'serve, solve, and sell' approach.
  • Keep track of all devices and safeguard store stock.
  • Utilize the point-of-sale system to maintain real-time customer information and repair status.
  • Set up hardware, install, and configure software and drivers.
  • Maintain and repair technological equipment and peripheral devices.
  • Proven technical, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with repair of computer hardware and software.
  • Experience in soldering (1 year required).
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • A+ Certification.
  • Wise Certification.
  • Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT).
  • Experience repairing electronics, smartphones, PC/MACs, and game consoles.
  • Technical degree or certification in Electronics or Consumer Electronics.
  • Previous experience working at a retail electronics store.
