About The Position

Mary Queen of Peace School is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic full-time Computer Teacher to support students in developing essential technology skills for the 2026–2027 school year. This teacher will guide students in building a strong foundation in digital literacy, basic technology use, digital citizenship, and introductory coding. The ideal candidate will create engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that promote safe, responsible, and effective technology use. Instruction includes typing skills, software applications, internet safety, and opportunities for problem‑solving through age‑appropriate coding platforms. The teacher will collaborate with faculty to help integrate technology across the curriculum and ensure the computer lab remains organized and functional. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Current and valid teaching certificate.
  • Prior classroom teaching experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for technology in education.
  • Growth mindset and passion for helping students build digital confidence.
  • Completion of the Protecting God’s Children workshop (required by the Archdiocese of St. Louis).

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering instruction in basic technology skills, typing, and software use.
  • Teaching digital citizenship, online safety, and responsible technology behaviors.
  • Introducing foundational coding concepts and problem‑solving activities.
  • Maintaining and organizing computer lab hardware, peripherals, and supplies.
  • Supporting teachers with technology integration and digital tools.
  • Assessing student progress and adapting instruction for diverse ability levels.
  • Creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
  • Collaborating with staff and participating in school-wide initiatives.
