In an ever-evolving world driven by cutting-edge technology, individuals with strong technical skills in information technology are in high demand. Carlisle High School’s Computer Systems Networking program provides students with hands-on training and the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications in networking (Cisco CCNA, Network+, Security+), PC operations and repair (CompTIA A+, Google IT Support), and workstation and server operating systems (MCP, Linux Essentials). Students also complete OSHA General Lab Safety training and gain valuable experience in a state-of-the-art networking lab renovated in 2021. Through coursework and real-world applications, students develop skills in networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, troubleshooting, and repair while staying current with emerging technologies such as AR, VR, and AI. Recognized as a program of study by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Carlisle’s IT pathway offers statewide articulation agreements that allow students to earn post-secondary credits and prepare for both the workforce and further education in the rapidly growing information technology field.
