Position: Computer Systems Manager Term: Full-time, 12 Months Classification: Certified, contract Location: Information Technology Department Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, relevant experience required in system administration and management, hardware and software support, minimum 3 years. Read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, and procedural guides. Essential Functions: ? Serve as the certified instructor for District IT Internship students. ? Install, image, maintain, and repair desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, printers, and additional peripherals. ? Assist in Chromebook deployment, checkout, and hardware support. ? Maintain device carts, classroom workstations, labs, instructional technology equipment, including food service and timeclock system computer. ? Oversee hardware lifecycle management including inventory, asset tracking, and recycling procedures. ? Create, manage, and assign printers via print management systems. ? Install, update, and configure district-approved software applications. ? Respond to escalated software/application issues across administrative and instructional systems. ? Manage software vendor support tickets and coordinate with external partners. ? Document procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical instructions. ? Provide second-tier technical support for escalated issues, including off-site technicians and after-hours troubleshooting. ? Collaborate with internal/external personnel and vendors to support IT projects. ? Maintain documentation for job related configurations and procedures. ? Support system upgrades, hardware rollouts, cybersecurity initiatives, and infrastructure improvements. ? Provide guidance to technicians and supervise summer interns. ? Carry out all other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand or sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
