About The Position

Red Peak Technical Services, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an opportunity for a Comuter Systems Analyst II. The Computer Systems Analyst II will provide government site Technical Publications/Data Management support onboard MCAS Cherry Point NC for the H-60 program in the evaluation, coordination, preparation and delivery of technical publications, changes, and revisions. This position will be provided a government NMCI asset and software in order to support the task order requirements. Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires one (1) year of general editorial experience which requires proficiency in punctuation, spelling, and English grammar and rules.
  • Requires two (2) years of specialized experience in editing military manuals and specifications.
  • Requires experience with computer applications as they are used in automated publishing and information retrieval.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a CAC
  • Must be an US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Knowledge and experience in PTC Arbortext
  • Technical publication, MIL-STD-3001, S1000D IETM, and CSDB experience in particular to NAVAIR standards
  • H-60 specific experience
  • Military experience using technical publications and IETMs
  • CTPL experience
  • Writing, editing, or quality assurance of technical documentation experience using MS Excel, MS Word, and PTC Arbortext
  • Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Collecting, compiling, organizing and interpreting technical data related to H-60 program.
  • Construct, verify the content, and manage the master technical data package for an assigned weapons system and all its peculiar components.
  • Maintain master data packages/records in a manner which will facilitate accurate and expedient publication updates and revisions.
  • Research and analyze Technical Manual Source Data Records (TMSDR) Technical Directives (TD), Local Engineering Specifications (LES), Local Process Specifications LPS), Temporary Engineering Instructions (TEI), Design Change Notices (DCN), technical instructions and, and others to determine if the master data package must be modified.
  • Support the H-60 program in the preparation and delivery of technical publications, changes and revisions. Including the development and "quick turnaround" of draft Type B IRAC packages as required; turnaround time to meet NATEC policy including PDF updates to NATEC compliant postings.
  • Assist in reviewing, approving and submitting final publications to the Defense Automated Printing Service Office and NATEC website.
  • Assist in reviewing Interim Rapid Action Changes (IRACs) and Electronic Rapid Action Changes (ERACs) to identify and correct technical publication problems.
