SAIC is looking for a Computer Support Technician to primary responsibility will be to provide technical support to client customer end users in a PC as a Service (PCasS) concept. The selected candidate will provide end-user computer support primarily in the exchange and repair of computer systems and the shipping of those systems back and forth between the end users. Duties and responsibilities may vary depending on the needs of the customer, but typically include the following:

  • Paying close attention to the user's description of their computer problem and asking questions to identify the problem and determine how to solve it
  • Testing and evaluating the Customer computers
  • Troubleshooting computer problems and individual user hardware or software problems
  • Setting up or repairing computer hardware
  • Performing efficiently in a warehouse and dispatch environment by handling incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Obtaining and processing product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the company
  • Maintaining the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis
  • Scheduling shipments and planning logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and to manage the shipments
  • Keeping files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
  • Handling issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
  • Troubleshooting shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and working to solve them
  • Placing merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary
  • Being flexible, able to multitask, and paying close attention to detail
  • BS and 0 years of related experience (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust requiring U.S. Citizenship
  • Previous Dell desktop and laptop experience support required
  • Dell certification preferred
