About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Computer Support Specialist to provide IT support for government and military personnel at the Pentagon in Washington, DC (with occasional travel to Suitland, MD and other NCR sites). You'll troubleshoot Windows and UNIX workstations, handle hardware installation and repair, manage assets, and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • HS diploma + 5 years' experience, or Associate's degree + 3 years.
  • Active IAT Level II DoD 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ce) or the ability to obtain within 2 weeks of an accepted offer.
  • 3+ years maintaining Windows, Linux, and UNIX systems.
  • 3+ years with Remedy or equivalent ticketing systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint).
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Experience with SCCM, Service Now, and remote troubleshooting tools.
  • Familiarity with tablets/eBooks (iPad, Surface Pro).
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or higher degree.
  • Experience configuring Nortel/Avaya and Cisco VOIP phones.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update SOPs; train personnel in best practices.
  • Support IT asset refresh programs (desktops, printers, peripherals).
  • Create training materials, quick guides, and checklists.
  • Document processes, recommend improvements, and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with teams (Networks, Telephony, VTC) to resolve tickets.
  • Travel within the NCR (up to 10%) to support customer sites.
