We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement CJTF HOA/AFRICOM’s mission objectives. CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Computer Support Administrator (CCNA, MCSA, Security +). This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, CJTF-HOA located OCONUS in Kenya, Africa. This position is required to travel OCONUS. Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems. Performs a variety of difficult assignments associated with monitoring and controlling computer operating systems. Sets up and maintains more than one type of computer system such as Open VMS Systems/DSM environments, UNIX systems (SCO and SUN), and Windows systems. Analyzes system faults and troubleshoots and runs diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems. Evaluates and installs developed software during various phases of testing. Reviews and prepares documentation for systems, tests and installation of software. Investigates and recommends methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Initiates preventive maintenance on the operating systems as well as repair to system/environment problems. Administers systems/environment solutions for multiple projects with varying schedules. Interfaces with vendors for trouble calls. Supports the planning of system/environment requirements for individual projects. May provide work direction and guidance to others. More About the Role: The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users. Specifically the windows System Administrator (SA) will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows 10 Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. The SA will be responsible for Windows system administrator functions supporting a global Active Directory infrastructure in a mixed Windows environment. The SA will provide senior level knowledge and Tier 1/2 support to the customer and their components to include Tier 1/2 infrastructure troubleshooting and support that involves the configuration and administration of servers in their area of operation. Additionally, the SA will provide remote support and/or travel to customer servers and sites as required. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining and supporting network devices consisting of primarily Cisco routers and switches. Using this knowledge the system administrator will be successful in providing necessary administration and maintenance support of this system.

Requirements

  • Currently hold an adjudicated Secret Clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance (NO WAIVER - must have an active US SECRET/T3 Clearance, minimum)
  • Current US Citizen
  • BA/BS + 5 years recent specialized or AA/AS +7 years recent specialized or a major cert + 7 years recent specialized or 11 years of recent specialized experience
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or current replacement certification
  • CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater)

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL v3 - Foundation
  • Automation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch files
  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
  • Experience working in VmWare ESXi environments
  • Experience with network storage (SAN/NAS)
  • Experience with enterprise backup solutions
  • Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
  • Experience working with and supporting Cisco Routers and Switches
