About The Position

The Computer Security System Specialist/ISSO position at S4 Inc. involves supporting USSTRATCOM JCER missions by providing planning, analysis, and intelligence support. The role requires managing security issues related to systems and networks, conducting maintenance, and implementing security improvements to ensure compliance and protect against vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant experience as an ISSO responsible for user training on software and hardware.
• Experience in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading IT assets including data, voice, and video networks.
• Proven ability to implement data security measures and perform vulnerability and risk assessments.
• Experience in standardizing and maintaining a media control program for equipment and storage.
• Knowledge of securing and hardening network devices according to DISA STIGs standards.
• Experience in managing standalone systems and network devices, including user account management and security tests.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with automated software solutions and planning for system redundancies and recoveries.

Responsibilities

• Operate as the CSSS ISSO for all issues related to systems and networks within their area of operations.
• Investigate elevated issues by confirming the validity of the problem and finding solutions.
• Conduct switch and TACLANE management, guest and standalone system management, data backups and recovery, and backend support.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance including security scans, backups, patches, updates, and hardware checks.
• Implement security improvements by assessing baselines, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
• Apply updates to software, drivers, and firmware to protect against vulnerabilities.
