This full-time, hybrid onsite/telework position supports the Range Display Systems (RDS) team at the Atlantic Test Range (ATR) in Patuxent River, Maryland. ATR is the U.S. Navy’s East Coast open air test range and provides real-time test and evaluation (T&E) services including data acquisition to DoD and commercial customers for aircraft and weapons system testing and fleet training exercises. The selected candidate will work in a rewarding technical environment at the forefront of naval T&E supporting the needs of today’s warfighter and beyond! Duties & Responsibilities: Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for assigned projects Support real-time flight test operations Work with teams of computer engineers and scientists to create software programs to process Time Space Positions Information (TSPI) data from various instrumentation to present to flight test engineers Design, develop, test, and document software solutions Collaborate effectively with team members, software users, and stakeholders to ensure project success Conduct independent research to resolve complex technical issues Work effectively in both individual and team environments Utilize debugging tools and techniques within Windows and Linux development environments to identify and resolve software defects Maintain proficiency and adapt quickly to new technologies Note: This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of the job.
