About The Position

Floyd County Schools is seeking a full-time Computer Science Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This position will be responsible for teaching computer science to high school students in grades 9-12 at the Renaissance Learning Center. The school district serves over 6300 students across 16 different schools, including 4 high schools, 3 middle schools, and various elementary schools. The district emphasizes a structured course of study from Head Start through Advanced Placement, maintaining high expectations for educational programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Teaching certification for high school education.
• Strong knowledge of computer science concepts and programming languages.
• Ability to create an engaging learning environment.
