Desirable Qualifications DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated fluency in C, C++ and Linux software development. Experience teaching in the online/remote courses. Please note that completion of Fullerton College’s Online Teaching Certificate, or equivalent, will be required to teach online sections. Detailed experience teaching computer science courses, especially introductory classes, with innovative teaching practices supporting success and retention of historically underrepresented groups. Commitment to examine, reflect, and modify instructional, relational, and classroom practices in order to effectively engage and support disproportionately impacted student populations with the goal of closing equity gaps. Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master’s in computer science or computer engineering OR Bachelor’s in either of the above AND Master’s in mathematics, cybernetics, business administration, accounting or engineering OR Bachelor’s in engineering AND Master’s in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration OR Bachelor’s in mathematics AND Master’s in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration OR Bachelor’s degree in any of the above AND A master’s degree in information science, computer information systems, or information systems OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area. OR The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee. Requirements
