About The Position

Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Computer Science/Engineering. The position requires a doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. College-level teaching experience is preferred, and ABD candidates will be considered at the rank of instructor. The teaching load will include courses in computer science, with the possibility of including courses in computer engineering for qualified applicants. The successful candidate is expected to develop an ongoing scholarly program that involves students and engage in academic scholarship in computer science/engineering, including research collaborations with students. The candidate should remain current in the field and best practices in computer science/engineering education, provide faculty service at the departmental and university levels, and participate in advising, mentoring students, and university committees. EMU is a vibrant, private liberal arts university located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, surrounded by the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • College-level teaching experience preferred.
