About The Position

Assemblix LLC is now hiring for a Computer Repair Tech! (Entry Level) Location: Avon,IN Pay Rate: $21.75 an hour | Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm Job Summary: The Production Technician Level II performs advanced repair and testing of computer systems and components to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards. This role involves diagnosing hardware and software issues, maintaining accurate records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives while assisting in training Level I Technicians.

Requirements

  • Advanced Technical Repair: Performs advanced diagnostics, repair, and testing of computer systems and components in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Troubleshooting Expertise: Identifies and resolves hardware and software issues using diagnostic tools and test stations.
  • Quality & Precision: Ensures all repairs meet quality, performance, and production schedule requirements.
  • Documentation Accuracy: Accurately records repairs, diagnostics, and component changes in tracking systems.
  • Process Improvement Awareness: Identifies recurring issues, supports root cause analysis, and recommends corrective actions.
  • Safety & ESD Compliance: Consistently follows safety, PPE, ESD, and standardized work requirements.
  • Training Support: Assists with on-the-job training and guidance for Level I Technicians when assigned.
  • Reliability & Collaboration: Demonstrates accountability, organization, and effective teamwork across production and repair teams.
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
  • 1–2 years of computer repair or technical troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • A+ certification or equivalent technical training required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced repair and testing of computer systems and components to meet production schedules.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues using diagnostic tools and test stations.
  • Handle fragile and high-value components with care while following ESD and safety standards.
  • Log all repairs, component changes, and diagnostic steps into the tracking or shop floor system.
  • Support production and assembly teams by identifying and reporting recurring technical issues.
  • Follow all standardized work procedures and ensure consistent product quality.
  • Assist in identifying root causes of defects and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support the training of Level I Technicians when assigned.
  • Other job duties as assigned
