Cohere is seeking specialized engineering expertise for an Android CNO Developer position. Applicants should demonstrate in depth experience with both Linux and Android tool development, including the Android Kernel. As an Android CNO Developer, you develop capabilities in support of operations. Your primary focus will be developing tools that work in both user and kernel space. You will play a crucial role in developing custom capabilities used on live systems. You will be a key player supporting national security interests. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Develop tools that work in both user and kernel space.
  • Create custom capabilities used on live systems.
  • Support national security interests through engineering expertise.
  • Experience coding in C/C++ and Python.
  • Understanding of Object Oriented Programming.
  • Knowledge of Networking (sockets), Multithreading, and implementing cryptographic protocols for data at rest and data in transit.
  • In depth knowledge of exploitation techniques including stack and heap attacks, buffer overflows, off by one vulnerabilities, memory leaks, and format string attacks.
  • Understanding of how to bypass protections like DEP and ASLR.
  • Comfortable using reverse engineering tools including debuggers and disassemblers.
  • Understanding of assembly constructs and calling conventions.
  • Familiarity with binary diffing is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and solve hard problems.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex techniques to teammates.
  • Experience with version control systems and CI/CD tools, preferably git or gitlab.
  • Interest in learning and developing skills in cyber development.
  • Willingness to be mentored and developed in the field.
