The position involves overseeing the company’s global network infrastructure, which includes designing, analyzing, and implementing secure measures within a project-oriented team comprised of both IT and Information Security professionals. The role requires maintaining global network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers, while optimizing the structure and related security policies. Additionally, the position entails managing networking, port configurations, port security, patching, and connectivity, as well as analyzing IP network topologies for security, technical, and operational vulnerabilities and risks. Daily responsibilities include performing network maintenance functions, monitoring WAN/LAN/SDWAN configurations, and enforcing network security using tools like Zabbix, Statseeker, Ansible, and ELK. The role also involves researching and recommending new network designs and technologies to enhance overall network performance, monitoring and automating global LAN/WAN/SDWAN alert notifications, and providing reports and trending analysis on voice/data performance, latency, and bandwidth utilization. Furthermore, the position requires developing and documenting data/voice LAN/WAN/SDWAN topologies, IP schemes, and vendor services using VISIO, conducting administration of the storage area network (SAN) and Citrix technology, and collaborating with IT systems administration and Information Security peers to enforce and monitor company-wide IP protection. The role also includes providing detailed audit trails and access reports over the LAN/WAN/SDWAN for data/system related to R&D source code, schematics, and documentation, reviewing audit logs and configurations of IP-based network equipment for compliance, and renewing and expanding the network for global offices.
