About The Position

GENERAL OVERVIEW Coordinates all computer assisted navigation in the OR. Schedules and runs all O-arm and cranial navigation cases. Assists with laser cases when available. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitates and runs all O-ARM and cranial navigation cases in the OR. (40%) Initiates a DTI program to compliment the cranial navigation program. (25%) Tests all navigated instruments for proper geometric tolerances. (10%) Implements new surgical navigation programs and procedures as they become available. (15%) Initiates residency training programs for all navigation procedures. (5%) Performs other duties as assigned. (5%)

Requirements

  • Graduate from technical program (i.e. electrical, biomedical engineering, radiology, surgical tech).
  • CPR – American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in biomedical or electronic engineering preferred.
  • Clinical engineering experience and computer navigation experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting neuronavigational O-arm equipment and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or experience in higher end devices and systems preferred.
  • Current driver's license may be required.
  • OR experience.
