In this role, you'll deliver hands-on career guidance, skills training, credential support, and job placement services all while making a real difference in your community. Position Summary: Provide interactive and motivational workshop facilitation to HRA PACE participants. Proctor all TABE and BEST Test sessions. Focus on online and digital tools for job search and application, career exploration, self-assessments. Incorporate instruction on use of email, video conferencing and other digital communication tools needed for training and educational activities, job placement, internships or other engagement activities. Provide support to the Orientation and Instruction team for coverage of orientation and workshops as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in vocational rehabilitation, social work, or social service-related field preferred. High level of competency in using and managing computer and related technology.3 years of related work experience and excellent public speaking skills with the ability to motivate and engage clients.

Responsibilities

  • Proctor and Facilitate all HRA client in-person and remote TABE/BEST test sessions in the computer resource room.
  • Facilitate computer resource room workshops for program participants on such topics as: resume preparation and writing, using email, basic online job search navigation. Support clients assigned for independent job search activities.
  • Assist with workshop and orientation coverage as needed, utilizing prepared curricula and appropriate training materials, integrating vocational concepts and employment activities in a classroom setting.
  • Conduct interactive facilitation, allowing for questions, comments and discussion from clients.
  • Support in creating and updating resumes, and cover letters for all enrolled clients.
  • Integrate relevant online computer sites and available tutorials (such as LMS platform) to support and enhance classroom instruction and post placement activities.
  • Complete administrative tasks including copying, scanning, and documenting client work and progress in web-based systems including NADAP's proprietary database and SEAMS.
  • Maintain contact with Career Service Coordinator (CSC) to update participants' progress.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, staff development sessions and in-service training as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
