Olympic College (OC) is accepting applications to teach Computer Information Systems in the Corrections Education program at the Washington Correctional Center for Women (WCCW) and Mission Creek Correctional Center for Women (MCCCW). Corrections Faculty members are professional educators primarily responsible for providing a quality education for all OC students. The faculty member's relationship with the student is that of teacher, mentor, and facilitator of learning. The Olympic College Corrections Education program serves incarcerated individuals within the Women's Prison Division at the Washington State Department of Corrections. This includes two unique prison facilities: the WCCW, located in Gig Harbor with a population of approximately 650 individuals at minimum, medium, and close custody levels; and the MCCCW, located in Belfair with a population of approximately 150 individuals in minimum custody. This position reports to the Associate Dean of Corrections Education at WCCW and MCCCW and will teach classes to incarcerated individuals housed at WCCW or MCCCW. Successful candidates will teach assigned classes, prepare teaching materials, assign grades, maintain records, and consult with students as required by the instructional division.
