About the position
The Business Technology Department is seeking Computer Information Systems and Network Systems Mgmt. Workforce Training Program Coordinator for the Spring 2025 term. Under the supervision of the department head and dean, the program coordinator for Computer Information Systems and Network Systems Management departments is responsible for the daily operations of the assigned instructional program(s). The program coordinator is responsible for teaching courses, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating adjunct personnel and student performance, and advising students. The program coordinator is also responsible for planning and scheduling non-credit courses and recruiting and assigning adjunct faculty for non-credit classes. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to, academic advising; planning and revising curriculum; maintaining office hours; scheduling non-credit courses; hiring, training, and managing adjunct faculty; assisting department head/dean with scheduling, budgets, advisory committees, and curriculum development.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Computer Information Systems and Network Systems Management.
- Design and develop curriculum for the instructional programs.
- Evaluate adjunct personnel and student performance.
- Advise students on academic matters.
- Plan and schedule non-credit courses.
- Recruit and assign adjunct faculty for non-credit classes.
- Maintain office hours for student support.
- Assist department head/dean with scheduling, budgets, advisory committees, and curriculum development.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Programming, Networking, Information Systems, Information Security or a related field.
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible related work experience.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changes in information technology.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software.
