This is a Computer Field Technician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. To be successful in this position, you must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware.
Perform hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units.
Complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of onboarding.
Log into the tech portal each morning by 9 am to code calls and map out the route for the day.
Confirm service times with customers in the tech portal.
Pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for the territory.
Drop off old parts with the pre-paid label after completing all calls for the day.
Prior hands-on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Comfortable with daily local travel.
Access to a computer and the Internet.
Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled.
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked.
