About the position

The Computer Engineer position at HII's Warfare Systems group involves applying principles of computer and electrical engineering to support the development and analysis of advanced electronic warfare systems and radar technologies. The role is designed for entry-level candidates with a strong interest in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and the ability to work collaboratively within a technical team to solve complex challenges in RF systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering functions in electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical specialties.
• Analyze performance and develop subsystem-level models and characterizations of radar components such as antennas, transmitters, receivers, signal processors, trackers, and mode control computers.
• Work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists to address challenging technical questions about RF systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 0 years with a Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience with Signal Processing.
• Experience with assembling and disassembling hardware systems and associated components.
• Knowledge of basic principles of electrical engineering, computer engineering, or embedded systems.
• Must have a Secret security clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with robotics and circuit design.
• Experience with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and soldering.
• Experience with troubleshooting circuits.
• Experience with mechanical work, including electrical boards.
• Experience with microcontrollers and interfacing.
• Knowledge of computer programming, design software, and system design.
• Ability to learn client-specific material quickly and present professionally in client-facing roles.
• Ability to create and lead technical presentations for management and decision makers.
