Ready to advance your education and have the opportunity to learn about High-Performance Computing, Embedded Systems, and Computational Analysis from experts in the field? We need our interns to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environments that have exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills. In this role, you will be under close supervision of a degreed professional and complete routine support assignments. Your assignments are designed to develop a working knowledge of practices and procedures related to software development, computational modeling, and system integration. This is a developmental position for college interns who are pursuing an Engineering or Computer Science degree.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Enrolled in Engineering at an accredited college or university and completed at least one year of study
  • Organized and self-motivated
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Completed at least one year of an undergraduate curriculum and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale)

Nice To Haves

  • Have a working knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Operating Systems fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Java.
  • Experience or coursework related to embedded systems, parallel computing, or machine learning frameworks.
  • Understanding of revision control systems (e.g., Git).

Responsibilities

  • In support of a degreed professional, complete assignments providing software development and computational analysis support to their supervisor/mentor.
  • Support could range from programming, data structure analysis, debugging complex code, developing scripts, or system integration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assisting in the documentation and testing of software and computer systems.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
