Fox Technology Center, LLC seeks a Computer and Information Systems Manager (Manager, Media Infrastructure) to oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of Compute and Linux-based systems and infrastructure within the organization. The role involves providing support and administration for Linux Operating Systems both On-Prem and in the Cloud (AWS, GCP, and Azure), managing security tools, load balancers, and monitoring tools. The manager will respond to unplanned outages, maintain product and service reliability, track and report system failures, monitor system utilization, and support a 24/7/365 operation. Additional responsibilities include diagnosing system issues, managing Ansible deployments, planning data center maintenance, and ensuring compliance with security standards.

  • Provide support and administrate Linux Operating Systems On-Prem and in the Cloud (AWS, GCP and Azure).
  • Respond to and remediate unplanned outages to minimize disruptions to customers and business impact.
  • Maintain continuous and predictable product and service reliability by implementing process controls.
  • Track, identify, report and correct the root cause for system and service failures.
  • Monitor current system and services utilization, and capacity planning.
  • Diagnose and remediate system issues as reported by users or monitoring systems.
  • Provide escalations support per request from various constituencies.
  • Install, manage and deploy Ansible to manage the Linux environment.
  • Support a 24/7/365 operation and participate in on-call escalation chain.
  • Analyze functional and technical requirements and transform them into a comprehensive test plan.
  • Plan DC maintenance, migration, installation, configure, test and implement new systems or application software.
  • Troubleshoot OS, applications and networking while leveraging internal teams for solutions.
  • Deliver changes to the Linux platform and AWS services by leveraging the change control process.
  • Maintain a maintenance and downtime schedule for the Linux environment and AWS services.
  • Analyze, implement and audit host system and network security.
  • Maintain asset lists of all servers and applications in CMDB.
  • Manage High-Availability server environments and create maintenance plans.
  • Administer, monitor and deploy large scale systems and service solutions on AWS.
  • Collaborate with engineers to integrate end-to-end design.
  • Recommend alternative design and platform options.
  • Monitor communications channels, monitoring tools, and related systems.
  • Plan and execute the migration of workloads to cloud providers such as AWS.
  • Lead an offshore team in Compute Administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Physics or related field.
  • Five (5) years of software engineering or related IT experience in DevOps CI/CD.
  • Two (2) years of OS deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening and troubleshooting.
  • Team management experience.
  • Experience using Chef, Git, Bitbucket, VMWare and DELL Vxrail.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2).
  • Experience in ITIL process including Incident management and Change management using Service Now, Remedy, ScienceLogic, New Relic and HP Open view.
  • Experience in tools such as Autosys Job Scheduler, Vital QIP and Infoblox.
  • Experience with security tools such as Tanium, Crowdstrike and Splunk.
  • Experience with Unix Operating System using RedHat Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu and Solaris.
