As a Computer Analyst, your day might start by troubleshooting a system issue for a clinical team, collaborating with IT and operations to improve workflows, or supporting an upgrade to a critical healthcare application. You’ll balance problem‑solving with collaboration, translating technical solutions into meaningful support for clinicians and staff. From analyzing system performance to training users and safeguarding data integrity, your work helps ensure the technology behind patient care runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently. The Computer Analyst supports clinical and business operations by analyzing, maintaining, and optimizing healthcare information systems. This role works closely with clinical staff, leadership, and IT teams to ensure systems function efficiently, data is accurate, and users receive timely technical support.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Experience supporting computer systems in a healthcare or clinical environment
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical users
  • Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) or healthcare applications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general IT tools
  • Experience with system testing, reporting, or data analysis
  • Familiarity with healthcare privacy and security standards

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, configure, test and support healthcare computer systems and applications
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical users, operational teams, and IT
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolution with internal or vendor support
  • Assist with system upgrades, implementations, and enhancements
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, workflows, and training materials
  • Support data integrity, reporting, and system security standards
  • Participate in user training and provide ongoing application support
  • Monitor system performance and recommend process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
