About The Position

Under the direction of the designated leader within the Imaging Department, the Computed Tomography Technologist is responsible for producing quality diagnostic images of human anatomy and vascular structures following prescribed protocols. Performs examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner so as to favorably promote the services offered at the facility. To help achieve our mission, CT Tech will complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations. CT Tech’s ability to demonstrate radiation protection/safety for patients, staff and self, as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines, to ensure the safety of the patients and staff is of vital importance. Maintaining equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of the patients and employees is required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology.
  • Minimum one-year rexperience as a registered Computed Tomography Technologist required, acute care experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common senseunderstanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnishedin written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Active State of Florida Radiologic Technologist license required.
  • Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)(CT) license required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required.
