About The Position

The CT Technologist I position works independently to complete a variety of routine diagnostic CT procedures to include common and special CT exams of moderate complexity. This position provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and special CT procedures. This CT Technologist I position delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to CT exam standards, radiation dose standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service. This position is a member of the direct patient care team. The CT Technologist II position is an experienced technologist who completes a variety of moderate to complex diagnostic CT procedures to include common and special exams of high difficulty. This position is a member of the direct patient care team and is fully competent in all aspects of CT exams. The CT Technologist II position serves as a mentor and trainer to the CT Technologist I and students. This position works independently by exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures. The CT Technologist II position provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and special CT procedures. This position delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to CT exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.

Requirements

  • Associates of Applied Science.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
  • Graduate of an accredited computed tomography program.
  • No experience required for CT Technologist I; 3+ years of experience for CT Technologist II.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT(CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board NMTCB(CT) or must be eligible for ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT) certification and obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Texas Medical Board certification (MRT).
  • American Heart Association BLS.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a variety of routine diagnostic CT procedures including common and special CT exams of moderate complexity.
  • Provide direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and special CT procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and adhere to CT exam standards and radiation dose standards.
  • Ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.
  • Mentor and train CT Technologist I and students (for CT Technologist II).
  • Exercise sound judgment and execute above average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures.
