About The Position

The Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) position is responsible for performing CT procedures and assisting radiologists at a technical level that does not require constant supervision. The role involves conducting CT scans of various anatomical regions to produce clinically diagnostic images that aid physicians in diagnosing diseases and injuries. The CT Tech ensures patient comfort and safety during procedures and is responsible for scanning patients across all age groups, including newborns, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Additionally, the technologist is tasked with maintaining the availability and sterility of supplies in the assigned area, operating CT equipment, developing films, and preparing the CT room for procedures. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology; CT Registry preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test, including bending, stooping, standing, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Work is fast-paced; visual acuity, hearing, stooping, reaching, and kneeling are required.
  • Average physical demands involve moving/transporting patients, lifting accessory equipment, and pushing wheelchairs or stretchers.
