Dynamic Integrated Services (DIS) is seeking a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our growing organization. This role will partner closely with a team of talented managers to support our operations for a specific contract supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. Shift Availability: Part-Time (0.5 FTE) – 40 hours per pay period (20 hours per week) Shift Hours: Varies (assigned by VA Radiology leadership) Schedule determined by VA Radiology leadership Shift confirmations provided 14 days in advance May require occasional on-call and on-site call back coverage, including Federal Holidays Period of Performance: Six (6)-month base period: April 5, 2026 – October 4, 2026 (ESTIMATED) One six (6)-month option period: October 5, 2026 – April 4, 2027 (ESTIMATED) Continuation into the option period is subject to Government approval.

Requirements

  • ARRT certification in Radiography required
  • Advanced ARRT certification in CT required
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Minimum three (3) years of recent CT experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety standards and digital imaging (PACS)
  • Experience with contrast administration and CT dose tracking
  • Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently
  • Ability to obtain and maintain VetPro credentialing
  • Ability to pass federal background screening and VA credentialing requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Operate multi-slice CT scanners (128-slice experience preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of diagnostic CT examinations including: Abdomen (with and without contrast) Chest CT (including low-dose lung screening) Head and Neck Spine (Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar) CTA studies CT GI bleed CT renal mass CT-guided biopsies and interventional procedures
  • Perform both contrast and non-contrast studies
  • Track and document reportable CT radiation doses
  • Ensure sterile technique and proper preparation of supplies for radiologist procedures
  • Operate multi-slice CT scanners (128-slice experience preferred)
  • Maintain compliance with VA radiation safety and infection control standards
  • Document procedures and clinical findings in the VA electronic health record (CPRS)
  • Review pending cases daily and enter required notes for delayed studies
  • Follow all VA Radiology Service policies and procedures
