About The Position

This position provides Computed Tomography imaging procedures within the scope of practice, including receiving and preparing patients and equipment for procedures and maintaining supplies for the CT department. The technologist produces high quality scans by following protocols set forth by the radiology department and operates CT equipment in a safe and proficient manner within the boundaries of competence, based on documented education, training, supervised experience, state and national professional credentials, and appropriate professional experience. The role also involves working with students from approved educational institutions.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from 2-year college or technical school; or two years (60 credit hours) coursework from 4-year college or university; or three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • For Computed Tomography Imaging Technician II: At least six months experience in a related field
  • For Computed Tomography Imaging Technician II: Computed Tomography Experience
  • Must be currently certified in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) (R)
  • Must obtain BLS and maintain during employment
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating
  • Employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers; or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
  • Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare

  • For Computed Tomography Imaging Technician I: Computed Tomography experience preferred but not required
