About The Position

GENERAL DESCRIPTION Provides diagnostic radiological procedures within the scope of practice, including receiving and preparing patients and equipment for procedures. Produces high-quality radiographs with a minimum of repeats while handling multiple room assignments and different types of exams on a daily basis. Operates routine radiographic equipment safely and proficiently within the boundaries of competence, based on documented education, training, supervised experience, state, and national professional credentials, and appropriate professional experience. Practices radiographic safety using "as low as (is) reasonably achievable" (ALARA) concepts. Works with students from approved educational institutions.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from a 2-year college or technical school in Radiology; or must have successfully completed a formal education program accredited by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists.
  • Must be currently certified in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.
