Computational Modeling Data Analyst

Innovative ReasoningQuantico, VA
Onsite

About The Position

Provide on-site Computational Modeling Data Analysis, and subject matter expertise in support to the Afloat C5I Branch, Maritime Expeditionary Warfare, Headquarters Marine Corps, Deputy Commandant for Combat Development & Integration, Marine Corps Combat Development Command, located at Quantico, VA. Responsibilities/Duties: Reporting and Dashboards: Identify and extract essential information from web instances or Excel files. Once identified, data must be shown effectively/efficiently through presentations, working papers, and various dashboard technologies to inform leaders. Simulation modeling and analysis: Apply quantitative data science techniques (statistics, mathematics, computer science, and physics) to analyze naval capability portfolio performance, cost and optimization, multi-objective decision-making, sensitivity analysis. Risk Analysis: Apply Qualitative, quantitative and decision risk analysis techniques for risk identification/evaluation, risk handling, risk monitoring and risk management. Conduct Quantitative Risk Analysis including: Probabilistic Risk Assessment of platform performance, cost, and schedule. Decision Risk Analysis includes applying risk and cost benefit techniques in decision making associated with significant risk or uncertainty. Probability and statistical analysis: Provide analytic process models, including various probability distributions (normal, binomial, Poisson, exponential, lognormal), probabilistic measures of system performance, data summaries (graphical and numerical), confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, regression analysis (single and multiple predictors), single-factor analysis of variance, and basic time-series analysis. Supplemental Duties: Provide essential actions required to develop relational databases and management systems using Microsoft Excel, Access, or other Department of Defense-approved database tools. Includes extracting information from multiple and diverse large data sets, as well as storing, retrieving, managing, and controlling data.
