These job requirements allow the employee to work their entire schedule somewhere other than a Lockheed Martin designated office or job site. WHAT WE'RE DOING At Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, we are at the forefront of aerospace innovation, driving the development and deployment of cutting-edge technology in the field of aviation. We solve the great problems of our times with innovative technologies that define eras. While no one knows what's going to change the world next, our people are already working on it. THE WORK We are seeking an Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer Staff to support our Sikorsky product lines. Role Overview Lead development, validation, and application of CFD solutions for next generation rotorcraft and air vehicles. Deliver predictive analyses that shape design decisions throughout the product lifecycle. Integrate meshing, turbulence modeling, multi physics coupling, and high performance computing (HPC) into robust simulation workflows. As a key member of our Fluid Dynamics Engineering team, you will: Design and execute CFD studies using high fidelity methods (RANS, DES, LES). Build and manage complex meshes for isolated and full vehicle rotorcraft configurations. Couple CFD with thermal, structural, and other physics domains. Optimize simulations with AI driven techniques and uncertainty quantification. Operate HPC resources (Linux, PBS/Slurm, MPI, OpenMP, CPU/GPU) to run large scale analyses. Automate workflows with Python, Bash, MATLAB, or Java scripts. Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross functional technical reviews. Present results clearly to engineers, managers, and external stakeholders.
