  • Perform computational fluid dynamics modeling and simulation for supersonic and hypersonic missiles.
  • Conduct gridding, simulations, gas dynamics calculations, and flow visualization.
  • Utilize local and DoD Distributed Supercomputing Resource Centers for solution deployment and monitoring.
  • Generate multi-fidelity aerodynamic data and interface with computational structural dynamics models.
  • Lead the development of innovative technical solutions through research and integration of best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with airframe, guidance and control, and seeker research personnel.
  • Present verbal and written status updates and prepare manuscripts for publication.
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or similar discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience in computational fluid dynamics modeling.
  • Experience with CFD software such as Cart3D, Kestrel, FUN3D, US3D or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of turbulence modeling and chemical equilibrium and non-equilibrium modeling.
  • Experience with block structured and unstructured gridding using software like Pointwise.
  • Ability to utilize DoD DSRC capabilities for workflow scripting.
  • Demonstrated experience with fluid-thermal-structural interaction.
  • Knowledge of thermal non-equilibrium modeling.
  • Experience with scientific programming using Fortran and Python.
  • Familiarity with workflow process tools such as Dakota and Galaxy Simulation Builder.
  • Knowledge of computational fluid dynamics for aircraft stability and control.
  • Competitive salary range of $104,650.00 - $189,175.00 based on experience and qualifications.
