Computational Biology Co-Op
About The Position
Kymera Therapeutics is seeking a Computational Biology Co-Op who is eager to join us in transforming Immunology. Candidates should have a strong computational background, be comfortable with the Unix/Linux operating systems and have programming experience in R and/or Python. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on an independent project with guidance from the Computational Biology department. This position is ideal for students pursuing a degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, or a related field who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a top-tier biotech company.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, or related quantitative discipline.
- Experience in working with Unix/Linux operating systems
- Proficiency in programming languages Python and/or R
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to be onsite in Watertown, Ma July - December 2026 (start/end dates are flexible)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with high-performance computing or cloud platforms
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and applications in biology
